There is a change for after hours medical care from June:
This aligns with Care Around The Clock messaging used widely across Canterbury that encourages people to call their usual GP team, 24/7, for health advice and guidance.
There are a few things you can do to support a seamless transition to the Care Around The Clock model:
Ensure all references to the 0800 700155 number are removed
Tell patients to store your phone number in their phone, and make it the first port of call for health advice after-hours;
Reassure your patients that they will receive health advice, including information about what to do and where to go if they need urgent care, from a health professional when they call you after-hours;
